2 Parts Everything

2 Parts Everything

What if all that we are were a thousand things
one part you, two parts everything
what if all that we are were discovery
a mystery to be unravelled?

What if every last word were a symphony
a calling out, a setting free
what if every emotion invoked the sea
and every tide were me?

Life you’re lazy, but I love you
when I see you dozing in the sun
Lay me down to gaze upon you
and celebrate your brand of fun

What if every dimension had no design
til that prime mover got groovy
and then on that occasion let space and time unwind
just to make sense of not moving?

What if quantum mechanics and the great Big Bang cabal
can’t hold a candle to our comprehension-
that seeing the light is bound by the soul’s dark night
and that’s the only path towards redemption?

Life you’re lazy, but I love you
when I see you dozing in the sun
Lay me down to gaze upon you
and celebrate your brand of fun
